WORLD YOUTH SKILL Programme

World Youth Skills Day is observed every year on 15th July to emphasize the importance of equipping young people with skills essential for employment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development. In commemoration of this significant day, SMSV Girls Higher Secondary School, Karaikudi, in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, Times Health Care Foundation & Charitable Trust, and Global Mission Hospital & Research Institute, organized a special awareness programme for students focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Education.

 

Project Objectives

To introduce students to the basic concepts of Artificial Intelligence and its applications in education.
• To explain how AI is transforming traditional teaching and learning methods.
• To encourage students to think critically about the ethical and societal aspects of AI.
• To motivate young girls to explore careers in technology, innovation, and AI-related fields.
• To empower students with future-ready skills essential for the digital age.

The programme was jointly organized by the Times Health Care Foundation & Charitable Trust, Global Mission Hospital & Research Institute, and Nehru Yuva Kendra, Sivagangai, at SMSV Girls Higher Secondary School, Karaikudi, to create awareness about the importance of Artificial Intelligence among students.The programme commenced with an introductory address by Ms. Gayathri, Trust Coordinator, who explained the various services provided by the Trust, including educational scholarships for children, public welfare initiatives, and free medical treatments.The school Principal, Mrs. A. Silambu Selvi, delivered the welcome address and highlighted the relevance of the programme in shaping students’ academic and career futures. On behalf of the Trust, the coordinators honored the dignitaries and guests who attended the programme.
