GENERAL HEALTH CARE
Health Care Services
Times Health Care Foundation & Charitable Trust (THFCT) is a non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit organization based in Karaikudi, established in 2017 by a group of dedicated social workers and educators. The trust was formed with a strong commitment to serve society by improving healthcare access and uplifting underprivileged communities. All healthcare initiatives of the trust are implemented through Global Mission Hospital, Karaikudi, which functions under the trust and acts as its primary healthcare service wing.
MEDICA CAMPS
Preventive Healthcare & Medical Camps
Times Healthcare Foundation & Charitable Trust provides compassionate and comprehensive cancer care focused on early diagnosis, ethical treatment, and continuous patient support. Through medical facilities operating under the Trust, individuals receive quality cancer treatment supported by modern technology, experienced medical professionals, and a patient-centric approach that prioritizes dignity, emotional well-being, and affordability throughout the care journey.
Illam Thedi Maruthuvam (Home-Based Medical Care)
Under the Illam Thedi Maruthuvam initiative, Global Mission Hospital, on behalf of the trust, delivers home-based medical care to elderly and disabled patients who are unable to travel to healthcare facilities. Trained nurses and medical professionals visit patients at their homes to provide injections, follow-up treatment, wound care, and continuous medical monitoring. This initiative ensures comfort, dignity, and personalized care while reducing unnecessary hospital visits.
Care for Disabled and Elderly Individuals
Times Health Care Foundation & Charitable Trust is deeply committed to supporting senior citizens and persons with disabilities. Through Global Mission Hospital, special medical camps, home-care services, and treatment concessions are offered to meet their unique healthcare needs. The trust works to eliminate physical, financial, and accessibility barriers, ensuring that vulnerable individuals receive respectful and continuous medical care.
Awareness Programs & Community Health Education
The trust actively conducts health awareness and education programs through Global Mission Hospital to promote preventive health practices. These programs focus on first aid training, mental health awareness, drug abuse prevention, blood donation, POCSO Act awareness, and general health education. Initiatives such as Nammai Kaakum Muthaluthavi Thittam aim to equip school students and workers with essential first aid knowledge, helping create safer and healthier communities.
Medical Support & Treatment Concessions
To reduce the financial burden of healthcare, the trust provides treatment concessions and welfare support through Global Mission Hospital. Economically weaker families receive subsidized treatments, financial assistance, and access to essential medical services. The trust has also facilitated free dialysis services, emergency medical care, and long-term treatment support for patients in need.

Major Surgeries and Treatments Provided Under the Programme
Established in 2017, the medical camp programme has delivered 13,424 surgeries and treatments across Sivaganga, Pudukkottai, and Ramanathapuram districts. Through well-organized medical camps connected to emergency centres, patients received timely and quality care. Services included general health check-ups, eye and dental treatments, organ donation interventions, psychological counselling, and nutritional guidance. By providing affordable healthcare without compromising quality, the programme has significantly improved access to medical services and enhanced community well-being.

NAMMAI KAAKUM MUTHALUTHAVI THITTAM
School is not just a place for academic learning; it is also a vital space where students develop essential life skills. One such crucial life skill is first aid awareness. Basic first aid knowledge helps students respond calmly and responsibly during emergencies, builds self-confidence, and nurtures a strong sense of social responsibility. Recognizing the importance of early first aid education, THFCT introduced the project “Nammai Kaakum Muthaluthavi Thittam.” This initiative aims to educate school students about first aid practices and emergency response. The project is being successfully implemented in several schools across the Sivagangai District, benefiting thousands of students and creating a safer, more prepared student community.

MOBILE ADDICTION AWARENESS PROGRAMME
In today’s digital age, mobile phones have become an integral part of daily life, offering ease of communication, access to information, and entertainment. However, excessive mobile phone usage—especially among children—has emerged as a serious concern. Children now spend a significant amount of time on screens, often at the cost of their physical health, emotional well-being, social interaction, and academic performance. Studies indicate that children aged 8–15 years spend an average of 5 to 7 hours per day on mobile devices. This overexposure has been linked to sleep disturbances, reduced concentration, lack of physical activity, poor social skills, anxiety, and depression.
Through our continued commitment to preventive care, Times Healthcare Foundation and Charitable Trust, in association with Global Mission Hospital & Research Institute, Karaikudi, remains dedicated to safeguarding community health through early intervention, awareness, and compassionate service. By encouraging regular check-ups, healthy lifestyles, and informed health decisions, we strive to reduce illness, improve well-being, and create a healthier future where prevention becomes a way of life for every individual and family we serve.
